Getting to Gunbalanya

Gunbalanya is a 3 hour drive from Darwin or 45 minutes from the town of Jabiru in Kakadu National Park.  Access to Gunbalanya is via:

1) The Arnhem Highway from Darwin

2) The Kakadu Highway from Pine Creek

Follow the signs to Gunbalanya (also known as Oenpelli or Kunbarllanjnja). You can also search for Oenpelli in Google Earth.

 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Crossing the East Alligator River at Cahill’s Crossing is subject to tidal fluctuation but you should be able to cross in conventional vehicles throughout the day on August 29th.
